First day of school, one in the morning and one for afternoon. The house seems rather empty during the day now.
Drew's first non-YMCA soccer game went well, he scored 1 goal in the first half and then 4 in the second half. His coach won't let him play goalie since the team needs Drew up front for offense.
Dan caught some Cougar Football. The weather was beautiful and the stadium improvements are awesome...
A very sunny hot day at the ballpark for the kids and friends for our last Mariner's game of the year. Luckily we were all slathered up in SPF50 or there would have been some sunburns.
Dan got a nice little weekend trip with two of his favorite things. College football and MotoGP. We also squeezed time in with Gen's very good friends. First up was a Purdue football game.
The main reason we went was to attend the Inaugural Red Bull GP at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This was the first motorcycle race at the famed Brickyard since 1919. Hurricane Ike showed up causing a real fun and shortened race. Dan's favorite rider, Valentino Rossi, won the race and clinched the 2008 world title.
New sport for Drew this fall, cross country. He is pretty much a natural at it without much practice; and he likes it a lot.
We went in with two neighbors to address our winter rain storm drainage issues.
