Alexa keeps getting better at soccer, and still cute as ever.
The University of Washington decided to play one of their games at Safeco Field. It wound up setting the Pac 10 attendance record with over 10,000 people there. We also managed to get free tickets as Dan was wearing his UW hat and a man handed him two tickets as he crossed the street to the Safeco Field home plate entrance (Thank you to 3B Matt Hague's Dad!). It was a free for all for seating so we were able to sit where Dan has always wanted to sit. First row down the line, with a good chance at a foul ball. We didn't get a foul ball, but the Huskies got the win. Drew had a great time since he so loves baseball these days. He is the only 7 year old I know that reads the Baseball Prospectus.
Dan spent a whole Sunday with his friends riding their motorcycles along the North Cascades Highway 20 all the way to Winthrop and back. Here are the pictures.
A beautiful sunny day at Drew's soccer game. This kid scores a couple goals a game and also enjoys playing defense and goalie.
Alexa gave a show at school for Mom. She followed that up with some croquet in the backyard. Drew was stationed in the front room playing video games.
Blake Lewis, Bothell's American Idol, came home for a parade and short concert in his hometown. It was nuts. Tons of people, lots of screaming, and a great time. We hope he wins. He seems to be a real great guy and we are proud to be from his hometown.
Typical Saturday for the most part. Drew had a soccer game. Alexa got a cast put on her right hand, which she broke a few day's earlier at the park. She is a real trooper.
Alexa can still play soccer, and she plays well. Stopped some goals and scored one this week. Cast close ups can be found on this page as well.
Alexa and the Tigers had their last soccer game of the year. Alexa scored the 3 goals she told Gen she would score. They finished off with trophies and some ice cream. Yum!
Dan drove a moving truck full of Grandma Carroll's stuff from Minneapolis to Seattle in two days. THEN he got to park it at the house!
Alexa hanging out with some of her favorite people.
