Rain gauge. This and the wind gauge are solared powered with battery backup. They report the information back to the base unit at 400 MHz. This luckily does not interfere with wireless phones (850 MHz and 1900 MHz), our WiFi network (2400 MHz), or cordless phone (5800 MHz).
